One of the world's highest plateaus at 4,114 meters, Deosai is a vast alpine meadow spanning 3,000 square kilometers. Known for its brown bears, Himalayan lynx, and rare Himalayan griffon vultures. In summer, the plains explode with wildflowers including purple edelweiss. The area connects Skardu to the Astore Valley.
